The official day of summer is here, also know as
summer solstice. To some it is one of the most powerful days of the
year... also longest days. The beginning of summer is a celebration
and it's my annual birthday time, when the sun moves into the tropic
of cancer in the Northern Hemisphere. The time is right to connect
with nature, visiting the ocean, and all that jazz that enlightens
us. I see this as the perfect time as yesterday was father's day and
now we are moving into a feminine water sign. Here is a little
invocation I found: “By lighting this candle I honor the
Summer Solstice.
By fire I honor the season, the divine that lives within me, the earth, and the turning of the wheel.
I thank you for the longer days, the breezy summer evenings and the time to relax and connect with my friends and loved ones.
May I always remember to enjoy each and every moment and stay connected to gratitude for all that I have.
And so it is.
Take a minute or two to reflect on
how you can spend time each day enjoying the blessings of the summer
season.
Blow out or snuff the candle.”
Any ways, I got a chance to swim in
the ocean the other day and spend time with family-- both things
lighten up my world. And now I am sharing my thoughts on celebrations with you virtually. I thank you for reading this...may
you have a blessed summer season.
