Charlie Brown is My Childhood Fantasy
I have been meaning to watch the new 'Charlie Brown' when it came out in theaters last year. Well I finally got around to watching it yesterday on 'HBO.' And I'm touched, I thought it was delightfully modern, yet nostalgic. The director 'Steve Martino' has done other well known stuff like: 'Ice Age' and 'Horton Hears a Who!' He's a talented guy it seems. I thought the movie played on our childhood memories of first crushes. I remember being nervous and had butterflies in my stomach when my crush walked past in the halls- granted this was 9th grade, the point remains the same. Love is love. And that is what's so crunchy and sentimental about this beautifully animated movie, is that we all have loved someone once, or at least desired to get to know someone that makes your stomach flip.
